Forget the white iPhone 4, how about a transparent iPhone instead?

: Matthew Humphries

With the iPhone 5 expected to arrive sometime in June this year, any hope of a white iPhone 4 hitting the market seems to have disappeared. Why would Apple launch the white version now, with only 3 months until a new model?

You don’t have to stick with your black iPhone 4, though. Some enterprising Chinese iPhone owner figured out he could make his iPhone case transparent, and the result looks great in our opinion.

The key to moving to a transparent case is quite simple: you just need some paint thinner. Applying that removes the black paint from the original casing leaving it completely clear. Of course, you’ll also need the correct tools to remove the case from your iPhone first. We also don’t think anyone should attempt this unless they know how to handle paint thinner correctly.

Those desperate to get a white iPhone could have got one enterprising teenager to switch the case on their existing phone for a white one direct from Foxconn. Unfortunately it looks as though Apple stopped that little business and his website has now disappeared.
