It doesn’t matter what platform you’re on, or what tools are available to them, an app is simply only as good as its developer team. Mobile apps require a delicate balance of a pleasant UI, helpful features, and constant development even after the app has launched. Fortunately each platform seems to have created their own sort of developer community with many, many resources out there for developers at any skill level to continue to grow themselves and grow their app. The most recent, and in my opinion the most impressive, of such resources to date is the upcoming Android developer web show “Coding Green Robots”.
Toronto-based Android app developer team MobiCartel take over the Yorkville Media Centre every other Tuesday night and turn it into an Android focused developer classroom. The show will cover a variety of topics, from basic developer tips and tricks to full code walk-thru’s and tutorials. Coding Green Robots also includes a live chat component to the show, allowing viewers to interact with their “teachers”.
Outside of their web show, MobiCartel offers tutorial notes, developer discussion boards, sample downloads, and an archive of their previous shows. Coding Green Robots is just as much about the live audiences as the web audience, so if you’re a developer in the Toronto area feel free to check them out live as well.
You can catch Coding Green Robots tonight at 7:30 PM EST.
