ShopMotorola’s Xoom tablet has not exactly had the ideal of starts, what with the online payment company Xoom Corporation suing Motorola for trademark infringements and news that Adobe’s Flash support will not be out on the device for at least another two weeks.
The news gets even better as we have uncovered reports that the 4G LTE upgrade, which is a free update for those who have purchased the device on a 2-year data contract, will be available 90 days after launch. This means sometime in May and you will have to send your Xoom in to Motorola for 6 days. In this time Motorola will upgrade both the hardware and the software.
We are not sure how accurate the time scale report is because it does differ from the Verizon FAQ that claims that the 4G upgrade will arrive shortly after the products initial release (90 days is not short). The best thing to do is register your interest in the update by following the link at the bottom of the page.
Let’s hope that future Honeycomb tablets will not have such problems when they are released.

Im like alot of other tablet consumers out there. Im not buy a tablet for $800. And Im not buying a tablet that is $600 with a two year data plan. Which in the end will cost you over $1000.
We all just want choices and the majority of us want wifi. Or at least the choice to buy the tablet as wifi only without ripping us off.
